                                           • Seven years as a Class A Superintendent, with an I.P.M. accreditation,​

Over the course of the past few years, my observations and experience within the industry has revealed that nearly all golf-club owners have been forced to reexamine their business models and make adjustments. That process has often led to deeply discounted membership and green fees, the addition of daily-fee play for non-members, and the postponement of planned improvement projects such as a course redesign or renovations to the clubhouse facility. Not surprisingly, such changes often do not sit well with members or green feers who have expectations for continual improvement. Thus, facing today's challenges within the golf industry has resulted in many course owners deciding to sell or retire.
